Les Commandos Percu and Deabru Beltzak present Danbor Talka (Clash of Drums)

Through movement, rhythm, pyrotechnics and fire, this spectacular show Danbor Talka (Clash of Drums), signifies a clash of cultures. Sparks will fly!

Collision, friction, percussion. There are many ways to make fire and to make a beautiful noise.

Danbor Talka (Clash of Drums), from French ‘pyro musicians’ Les Commandos Percu and Basque company Deabru Beltzak, evokes a clash of cultures, the need to talk and a common song invented. Sparks will fly before the two come together in music and a whirlwind of colour.

For more than 20 years, Les Commandos Percu have travelled the world with their extraordinary and spectacular shows, for Hull they will work with up to 15 local musicians and integrate them into the show.

The essential spark to the fusion between music and fireworks is movement: street to street, amongst the public, these pyro musicians will light up the sky and energise the streets.

“The audience, electrified by so much energy, asks for more; a heroic performance.” The Guardian

Presented in association with the Global Streets Strategic Touring Programme.
