Freedom 2008

The first Freedom event in 2008 brought an eclectic mix of live music, arts and dance to the city. With music from The Paddingtons, Simon Webbe, Noah and the Whale and The Magic Numbers combined with a dance spectacular in Bollywood Steps, a Silent Disco and an international street theatre production from ‘The Dream’, all topped off with a fantastic firework finale – Freedom 2008 was a great beginning to commemorate William Wilberforce and the abolition of slavery and the start of a fantastic city legacy.
