Why Freedom

Freedom is Hull’s annual celebration of the Arts, a lasting legacy of the Wilberforce 2007 campaign which celebrated the pioneering work of Hull-born William Wilberforce MP, and the bicentenary of the abolition of slavery.

Once again, Hull city centre will be transformed into a Festival Villiage with activities in Festival Gardens, the Fruit Market, QueenVictoria Square, Hull City Hall and Hull Truck Theatre.

There really is something for all the family!
