Located at the Central Dry Dock in Hull’s Fruit Market cultural quarter, Stage@TheDock is as unique and ambitious as the city in which it resides.
Developed by Wykeland in consultation with Freedom Festival Arts Trust – and managed by FFAT – this pioneering cultural and community space provides a unique open-air setting for audiences, and an unparalleled environment for artists, cultural innovators and community leaders to develop and perform their work.
Against a dramatic waterfront backdrop looking out onto the River Hull and Humber Estuary, Stage@TheDock provides seating for audiences of 400.
Thanks to the stunning public realm landscape which surrounds it, the venue also provides the perfect setting for office workers, visitors and passers-by to enjoy the city and – on occasion – see work being developed or delivered.
As a venue, Stage@TheDock will challenge Freedom Festival Arts Trust to explore and test the boundaries of outdoor arts while also providing a wonderful setting for civic events, debates, exhibitions and whole plethora of happenings. Come and join us!
Calling all creators, artists, cultural innovators and community leaders!
We’re excited to find out exactly what’s possible at Stage@TheDock, and we look forward to working with innovators and creators on our journey of discovery. Stage@TheDock is available for artists and organisations to hire as a ‘blank canvas’ space – if you wish to discuss hiring the venue, please call Freedom Festival Arts Trust on 01482 214036 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
