Outdoor Arts Seminar for Artists and Local Arts Professionals

Freedom Festival Arts Trust is passionate about artist development, locally, regionally and internationally, with a lot of our time spent on the commissioning, support and development of new and exciting work – particularly work to be presented in public outdoor spaces.

As part of our year-round Artist Development Programme, we are teaming up with Hull Truck Theatre – who are also committed to offering development opportunities – to run this free seminar for artists and local arts professionals.

The event itself will be presented by our partners and outdoor arts specialists XTRAX; who supported our 2018 Seminar for Arts Professionals at the Festival. If you are an artist or a creative practitioner who is interested in creating outdoor arts and art in public space, we invite you to join us and to discover more about the industry and how you can get involved.

The seminar will discuss practical matters and conventions in the outdoor sector, tips for making your shows sustainable for touring, how to promote your work, national and international touring and where you can find more information.

Our Artistic Director and Joint CEO, Mikey Martins, will chair a discussion with the XTRAX team;
Director, Producer and Lecturer Jonathan McGrath, International Relations Project Manager Irene Segura and Digital Development & Project Coordinator Elena Cavallero.
There will be an opportunity for networking after the event.

It will be taking place at Hull Truck Theatre on Friday 30th November (5pm till 7pm).
Please book your free place here.
