Road Closures 

The stage is being set for Freedom Festival 

Hull City Centre is the stage for Freedom Festival.

It is necessary to make a number of road closures to ensure the safety of our audience and to bring you an incredible experience that plays out in the city's streets, squares and public spaces. 

We encourage you to plan your trip in advance, travel by public transport where possible and would like to apologise to residents for any inconvenience caused.

Closure one – Bivouac 

Friday 30 August 2018, 19.00 – 22.00

  • Bond St from its junction with Albion St
  • Albion St from its junction with Story St to its junction with Charles St (just as parade passes)
  • George St from its junction with Grimston St to its junction with Bond St
  • Vernon St
  • Queen’s Dock St
  • Guildhall Rd
  • Alfred Gelder St from its junction with Lowgate to Queen’s Dock Ave
  • Carr Ln from its junction with Chariot St and Queen’s Dock Ave

Closure two – Adhok 

Saturday 31 August and Sunday 1 September 12.00 – 17.00

  • Wellington St (Fruit Market)

Closure three – Zebedee's/Trinity 

Friday 30 August 16.30 – 23.30, Saturday 31 August 11.00 – 23.59 and Sunday 1 September 11.00 – 20.00

  • Princess Dock St from its junction with Castle St and Whitefriargate
  • Postnergate from its junction with Princess Dock St and North Church Side
  • South Church Side from its junction with King St
  • Dagger Ln from its junction with Robinson Row to its junction with Postner Gate
  • Prince St from its junction with Dagger Ln to its junction with King St

Closure four – Carnival 

Sunday 1 September, 12.00 – 15.00

  • Carr Lane from its junction with Chariot St and its junction with Queen’s Dock Avenue
  • Queen’s Dock St from its junction with Jameson St
  • Alfred Gelder St from its junction with Lowgate to its junction with Queen’s Dock St
