In collaboration with local people living with breathlessness and artists Anna Bean and Rob Mackay, researcher Ann Hutchinson from the Hull York Medical School has created the multimedia Bringing Breathlessness Into View exhibition.

People with breathlessness often feel poorly understood and stigmatised. As a result, they can feel lonely and isolated.

We aim to raise awareness of what it is like to live with breathlessness, and enable people to access support to manage their breathlessness well.

Find us in the Hepworth arcade near Dinsdale’s Joke Shop (access from Trinity Indoor Market, Silver Street or from Market Place).

This multi-media exhibition has been co-created by local people living with breathlessness, photographic and sound artists and health researchers.

The exhibition has striking images and engaging sound recordings to help people understand what it is like to live with breathlessness.

We will be chatting to people who come along and giving out booklets to help people manage breathlessness.

There will also be workshops on creative collage and writing which will explore experiences including loneliness and togetherness and other things that can be hard to talk about.
