It's a new year and we have welcomed a new team member, Ian Morley!
Meet our new Producer, Ian Morley, who has joined us from the Royal & Derngate Theatres in Northampton. Ian will be heading up our new production team, and brings with him over 20 years of experience in producing and programming. He has taken on a breadth of roles over the years, from producing outdoor festivals and events to programming venues and intimate theatre projects. Ian has an extensive background in theatre, having toured small-scaled theatre and has also produced community theatre projects, as well as performing, stage managing and leading creative workshops.
Ian is super excited to be working for Freedom Festival and to bring his passion for supporting and developing artists and creatives to Hull.
Over the next few weeks he'll be immersing himself in the team and our programming for Freedom Festival 2024 to get it prepped for delivery in August! As well as working with a new Engagement Producer, Ian will be working with artists, production staff and our seasonal freelancers to deliver Freedom Festival to the masses!
FUN FACTS
- When Ian isn't working, he enjoys playing board games! He has over 100 at home and regularly attends boardgaming meet-ups and conventions in his spare time.
- Ian is also an avid fan of Sci-fi!
- To wind down, he really enjoys being out in nature, and is a keen bird watcher.
