Welcome to the team Kathryn!

We are very excited to announce that Kathryn Biggin has joined our team this week as our new Business Development Manager. You'll be hearing a lot from her over on our LinkedIn and Twitter channels, and likely will be seeing her around at local events around the city.

For her official introduction, take it away Kathryn:

I am really excited to have joined Freedom Festival Arts Trust as their Business Development Manager. Having worked the last 15 years in sales and development roles across the charity and events sectors, I am looking forward to working with the FFAT team and be a part of its success!

The arts play such an important role in the social and economic growth of local communities, and it’s crucial that everyone has access to performances that tackle social issues and make an impact. I love the roots of Freedom Festival, the calibre of artists they bring to Hull for us all to enjoy and the investment it makes in developing local innovative talent.

We work with fantastic partners, whose funding enables us to do this, whilst keeping the Festival free for all to attend. Funding is crucial to our success, and I am looking forward to working with new and existing local businesses and individuals who share our vision.
