Meet our newest addition to the team, Katie!
Our new production team is taking shape! Meet Katie Atkins who has just joined our team as our new Engagement Producer! Katie joins us having just completed Leeds 2023 as Head of Volunteering and has previously worked at Absolutely Cultured where she ran their community engagement programme. As a Hull local, Katie has a passion for the city and its people and is incredibly thrilled to be working for one of her biggest loves, Freedom Festival!
She brings an extensive background in volunteer management and community engagement and a wealth of knowledge and skills into her new role here at Freedom Festival, where she'll be looking after all of our participatory projects for the 2024 Festival. Katie is raring to go and get stuck in with everything engagement related, and we don't doubt she's going to do an amazing job with delivering our participatory programme.
FUN FACTS
- Katie was a blue coat volunteer for Hull's City of Culture year in 2017
- She has two rescue cats, Meg & Hugo, and a golden retriever, Skye
- In her spare time, Katie loves travelling around the UK in her VWT4 campervan!
