Freedom Festival is looking for a Project Manager to lead on key projects within Freedom Festival Arts Trust’s year-round programme.

You will lead on key projects within Freedom Festival Arts Trust’s year-round programme with a particular focus on participatory projects. You’ll be responsible for the end-toend delivery of multiple projects. As well as planning and defining the work schedule for each project and making sure all the right contracts and resources are in place, you will be expected to manage your project’s budgets, identify, manage and mitigate potential risks and find solutions to any issues that may arise.

  • Experience of working with amateur (non-professional) professional artists, and community groups to devise and deliver impactful engagement events, activities and longer-term projects.

  • Experience of working with young people and diverse communities.

  • Experience of managing engagement and/or participation programmes within a cultural setting.

  • An up-to-date knowledge of child and vulnerable person’s protection legislation and best practices, including chaperoning requirements and risk assessments.

  • An awareness of equal opportunities in relation to the arts.

  • A thorough understanding of Arts Council England’s Lets Create strategy, how the Investment Principles are utilised in participation and engagement practice and the Create Case.

  • Experience of working with academic institutions on participatory practice.

  • Experience of using digital tools for project management and administration

This is a 3 day a week (22.5 hours) role on a 12 month FTC.
