Three Minute Monologues

A creative project combining the voices of young people with local script writers to make new and exciting live theatre, covering subjects like relationships, mental health and pesky recurring haemorrhoids.

With writings from Kerrie Marsh, Maureen Lennon, and Jim Norris peppered with live music from artists signed to Warren Records.

Quotes from young people who experienced the writing workshops:

“Would recommend to friends!”

Has had a positive impact on my mental health.”

“Helpful and thought provoking.”

Three Minute Monologues is a creative writing project where young people use writing as a way to better their mental health over the course of 6 weekly sessions. We have then anonymised these writings and passed them onto Middle Child, who have supported local writers and actors to produce this showcase.

This project has been developed by The Warren Youth Project, a young people’s resource that supports 16-25 year-olds in the city of Hull.

Middle Child are a Hull company creating award-winning gig theatre, that brings people together for a good night out with big ideas.
