Back to Ours: Dean Wilson Cinema Shack

In partnership with Back to Ours, we teamed up to bring the Dean Wilson Cinema Shack and DeanWorld Premiere Gala to Freedom Festival 2021. The Cinema Shack became a sit-in experience where passers-by could watch all of Dean and Dave Lee’s classic short films, as well as six brand new ones. As an unticketed event, people could drop in and out as they pleased to see Dean perform just for them.

The DeanWorld Premiere Gala was the premiere of Dave Lee’s new film all about Dean’s experiences of lockdowns, exploring how the world has connected with Dean when his world remained largely unchanged, set within a cabaret evening including music and a performance of an all-new poetry set by Dean himself, it was an unpredictable, surreal, but altogether unforgettable evening.
